Memories of MALCOLM LEE
Malcolm lived at 59 Queen Street with his dad Charles and mum.
In the photograph below is a picture of Malcolm’s Grandad Herbert Lee outside his Boot and Shoe Repair shop. This was the last house at the end of the long row of houses on the left side of Queen Street, just passed what used to be Dr Lipp’s surgery.
The boy in the upstairs window is Malcolm’s dad Charlie. Malcolm remembers it had a front room and a workshop in the back, where his grandad repaired and made the shoes.
The Photograph of Lee’s generation which was taken down the Captain. Back left Uncle Walter, Grandma Eleanor and Grandad Herbert, Herbert Jnr and Charlie in front who was Malcolm’s dad.
Uncle Walter Lee stood at the bottom of Queen Street, the road at the side used to be the main road up Queen Street, it is now used as car parking spaces
