‘INTERMENT OF MR. RICHARD DAVIES, SCHOOL MASTER OF MOSBRO’

The remains of Mr. Richard Davies. for the 26 years head master of the Mosbro’ Endowed School, who expired at the School House, Mosbro’, on Wednesday, were interred in the Eckington Cemetery on Saturday. in the presence of a large concourse of people, the first part the burial service was taken in St. Mark”s Church, Mosbro’, the deceased having acted as lay reader, sidesman, and treasurer there for many years. The organist, Mr. Geo. Plant, congregation assembled, played “I know that Redeemer liveth ” from the “Messiah.” The church was crowded, many representatives of public bodies being present. The Rector of Eckington, Rev. H. T. Morgan, M.A., met the cortege at the cemetery and finished the service most impressively. The mourners were Mrs. R. Davies, the widow, Mr. and Mrs. F. Smith, son-in law and daughter. Miss M. Davies and Miss E. Davies (daughters), Mr. T. Davies (nephew), Llanelly, Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Hawkins, and Mrs. G. G. Watts. Killamarsh, and Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Roberts, Halfway.
