WILLIAM WALKER

William was Born in Derby  in 1889.

William enlisted at Alfreton, Derbyshire into the Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment) into the 10th battalion, in June 1914.  He worked has a miner at Moorhole Colliery up to the time of enlisting.  His Regimental Number was 201263 and 3930.  William died in hospital from wounds on 1 July 1917 at France and Flanders. He his buried at Orchard Dump Cemetery, Arleux-en-Gohelle VIII. D.46.
